My Measure of Faith
My soul was happy talking to the Master as I held his hand and shared with Him my joy and happiness.
He granted me everything I dreamed and desired. Life was beautiful more than I dreamt it to be.
My courtship with the Master continued as he taught me His ways.
One fine day I woke up and found myself trudging down an unknown path.
The Master wasn't there and I missed his conversation and wondered where he could be when I didn't know where I was going.
I longed to feel his presence, hear his strong voice which calmed my fears and feel his touch which made my heart safe and secure.
I couldn't walk in the darkness anymore and longed for the Master's hand as I cried to Him for help.
In a still small voice I heard him tell this is your first step of FAITH.
All these days you were a little child who needed help, with me by your side.
Now I have taught you my ways filled you with my Spirit and breathed my life into you and now I long for you to walk in the way I always instructed you.
When you need me I will be just by your side. You can't feel me but I’ll be there to hold you if you trip and fall.
When you make a decision on which path you need to take, my Holy Spirit presence will guide you when you come to the cross roads to decide.
He promised me that I was still safe in the palm of his hand and the apple of His eyes.
He told me if I had faith as a mustard seed I could move mountains.
I walked along the narrow path which had hurdles I didn't know I’ll face.
The moment I faced the hurdle I cried out to God and doubted that he would come and save me from this pit.
But never did I have faith to cross the hurdle.
The Master did come to save me but also to instruct me to live by faith. He removed the hurdle within a second and I was surprised to go to the other side.
The first few walks were difficult because I doubted more and never trusted the Master so I tripped and fell, got hurt and bruised often.
The Master picked me up and lovingly explained my little measure of FAITH which could move his heart to do the impossible.
It was all bright and shiny and new again when all of a sudden I encountered another crossroad.
I knew now I was in the Master's hand and he had a plan.
My mind told me not to follow the Master's plans as it will bring more problems and hurdles and almost pushed me to take the other path.
I asked the Holy Spirit for help and he put me on the right path. The Master was pleased that I learnt to walk by faith and not by sight.
I believed the Master would make my path comfortable even though it looked impossible.
By doing one act of FAITH to walk along his path He granted me happiness, joy and blessings.
He helped me to teach others who faltered along the way and use their measure of FAITH to walk in the Master's way.
He gave me energy boosters through his word which promised that if I ask anything in his name and if its falls under His will he would do it for me.
My prayers were answered and my needs were met always beyond what I imagined and expected. My mind by now was trained to the path the Master always wanted me to take. And my heart was content that he would give me the best despite the tough mountains I would climb and the deep valleys I had to pass.
I walked along the path with little measures of FAITH everyday.
One day I reached the top where I could see a beautiful sky and a rainbow of promise with a promised land just waiting for me and who else to welcome me but my Master.
I ran into His arms and he hugged me and told me. Well done my daughter you learnt well and used your measure of faith. And now this Promised Land is your reward of FAITH.

CHRISTMAS WITH JESUS
There is someone special we miss this Christmas who was with us last year and that’s none other than our dearest Pastor.
Pastor looked forward to every Christmas, not just to look in his best but to tell the message of Christmas to the thousands who came for the service.
I wish he could have been here with us for this Christmas but I’m sure he is in even better place celebrating Christmas with Jesus.
But it’s Christmas and I don’t feel like celebrating. There is something or someone missing this Christmas.
There will be no Christmas tree this year with all its decorations and the presents under it.
There will be no lights or tinsel and the star that shines so bright.
There will be no bells that will ring or the wreath in front of the door.
There will be no stockings to be filled or candy sticks to sweeten the mouth.
There will no cakes or cookies to bake, or the sumptuous meal with the best food.
But there is some one we can’t always miss and that is Jesus.
I’ve planned to celebrate Christmas with Jesus my best friend.
It’s his birthday and I want to see him smile when I tell someone about why he came to this world on Christmas day.
I don’t miss Santa and his gifts coz Jesus provides whatever I need according to his riches in glory.
I don’t miss the stockings that hang from the fireplace coz Jesus gives me new mercies everyday and loads of blessings when I ask and pray.
I don’t miss the candy sticks coz Jesus is the sweetest friend of all.
I don’t miss the Christmas goodies coz Jesus is the bread of life and I lack no good thing.
I don’t miss the candles which brings light coz Jesus tells in His word that I am the light of the world.
I don’t miss the poinsettias as I have given him my heart to dwell this Christmas.
I don’t miss the wreath on the door coz Jesus poured his never ending love for me on the cross.
If you feel your missing someone or something don’t despair. Christmas is not about the food, clothes, decorations or the gifts but it’s about the baby Jesus who chose to come down to earth to save us all and give us eternal life.
This Christmas give your doubtful, hurting heart to Jesus and join with the angels, shepherds and wise men and adore Him and love Him for all He is.
You did the best thing of celebrating your Christmas with Jesus who is the reason for the season.

Eulogy for our Dear Pastor Earl Stubbs

Dear Pastor,
We have no words to express the love we have for you.
You have been a great source of blessing support and encouragement for the church family.
You were a man of Integrity, Love and Patience.
You were a true leader to disciple us and direct us in our Christian walk of faith.
Every week the sermons you preached were spoken straight from the heart of God.
You were one perfect man in an imperfect world.
You won our hearts with your humble nature, your love and actions which showed Christ in everything you did.
We pray that we would follow you and be a true witness by showing Christ like character in all that we do.
Nobody can fill the empty space in our heart for you dear Pastor.
We pray that the Holy Spirit would give us the courage and strength and comfort us as we move on.
We love you dear Pastor and will always cherish the sweet memories of the times we spent with you.
We are glad that you are safe in Heaven free from all pain and that one day we’ll meet you on the other side where you will be waiting with open hands.
We love you dear Pastor and will always miss you. You will remain alive in our jearts forever.
Lots of Love,
Adeline
